CASUAL Outdoor in two new colours

Sustainable and cosy: CASUAL Outdoor in two new colours

With CASUAL Outdoor by Bene - consisting of the CASUAL Bench, Lounge Chair, Table and now the new CASUAL Stool - Bene has created places for socialising and interaction in outdoor spaces. The two new colours “clay" and "jade green" have been added to the entire CASUAL range.

The weather-resistant version of the CASUAL by Bene collection can be used anywhere outside. In addition to functionality and comfort, it also creates a unifying sense of togetherness in a relaxed atmosphere. Whether Lounge chairs, low and high benches, stools or tables at various heights - CASUAL Outdoor celebrates working in the garden, in patios or on terraces. The line also comes out on top when it comes to sustainability, as all materials can be separated by type and fed into a further closed-loop material cycle, thanks to the modular design involved.

CASUAL Outdoor Stool

The CASUAL Outdoor Stool is characterised by its compact design without sacrificing comfort and is suitable for most sizes of room or patio thanks to its two different sizes. The stool adapts to any environment thanks to the wide range of fabrics available. In addition to the product expansion, the steel frames of the entire CASUAL range will be available in the two new colours clay and jade green from 4 March 2024, complementing the existing black.

Design by Christian Horner

The CASUAL product series was created by Bene designer Christian Horner. The park bench was a key inspiration for him in designing the product. Just like in the office, people meet on a park bench as planned or by chance. They provide spaces for togetherness and interaction. The CASUAL Bench was designed to be just as stable as any park bench construction. Yet unlike the park bench, the CASUAL Benches, Stools and the CASUAL Table are available in three heights.

Sustainability through reduced use of materials

Christian Horner was already focusing on the sustainability of the CASUAL range at the product development stage, as the design is based on using materials in a way that conserves resources. The Bench Frame has been optimised so that it has the required stability and yet is as light as possible at the same time. The upholstery provides a high degree of seating comfort and attention has been paid to minimising the use of materials here also. All materials can also be separated by type and returned to a second life cycle by dispensing with any adhesives. Office furniture must be highly functional - with an ergonomic design and robust construction from long-lasting materials. A modular design ensures that components can be replaced, which in turn extends the product life cycle.
