Bene’s sustainable
bFRIENDS collection
The sustainable, 3D-printed bFRIENDS collection is being expanded to feature a range of new products, including a coat stand, a wall clock, a magazine rack, decorative animals, vases and plant pots, and a host of additional accessories for the office and home.
Sustainable design accessories not only keep the workplace organised and protect the environment, but also exude a productive, inspiring atmosphere – a commitment that the international office furniture expert Bene more than fulfils. The new bFRIENDS series impresses with its extraordinary design as well as with a low ecological footprint – and shows what is possible in terms of sustainability, material development and production.
In 2021, Bene became the first office furniture manufacturer to launch mass production of the sustainable, 3D-printed accessories bFRIENDS. “The name bFRIENDS highlights the products’ environmentally friendly character, the warmth of their aesthetics and the spirit of cooperation in which they were created”, explains Michael Fried, Executive Board Member for Sales, Marketing and Innovation.
Reduce – Reuse – Recycle
The practical accessories are manufactured using a 3D printing process with the help of the London and Amsterdam-based start-up company. All bFRIENDS products are made from the petroleum-free bioplastic PLA, which eliminates the use of fossil raw materials in all phases of production. The plastic itself is both recycled and recyclable, so that each accessory can be reintegrated into the production cycle at the end of its life. The bFRIENDS products, designed by Pearson Lloyd, are available in 13 standard shades, can be manufactured in custom colours and feature engraved company logos upon request.
The new collection comprises the following products:
bFRIENDS Wall Hooks
Wooden wall hooks with 3D-printed elements. Not only are the concave brackets with 3D hooks functional, they also lend a touch of modern elegance to every room. Whether you use them to hang up jackets, hats or keys, these wooden hooks (available in the tones natural or vulcano) with their striking 3D-printed accents are the perfect solution to bring order to every wardrobe or cloakroom.
bFRIENDS Coat Stand
The coat stand is made up of three sleek wooden rods, which converge in the centre with a sustainable 3D-prined knot. The wood is available in the colours natural or vulcano.
bFRIEnds Bookends
A stylish and sustainable solution for organising your books on your desk or bookshelf.
bfriends magazine rack
A functional and sustainable magazine rack, which can be placed on the floor or on a sideboard. Two inner compartments neatly hold your magazines together.
bfriends Tray L, Tray M, Tray S
The trays are suitable for a variety of applications, and can be used to store personal items, writing utensils and workshop materials. Each tray also features a pin pot, giving a home to even the smallest of accessories.
bfriends Tilted Tray
The tilted tray supplements the tilted collection, which currently features a pot and a bowl. The unique design with its striking surface is sure to captivate your attention at first glance. The tray is ideal for storing writing utensils.
bfriends Plant Pots L
The plant pots are 3D-printed planters, which are ideal for small plants in your office or home. They are available in two different sizes, depending on your requirements.
bfriends Tilted Plant Pot L
A planter with a striking surface supplements the existing tilted collection, which currently features a tray and a bowl.
bfriends Big Vases & Vases Mix
The smart clamp system holds the glass vases in place and allows for countless different combinations. You can create unique floral arrangements and rearrange them at any time, depending on your requirements. The glass vases are available in two different sizes.
bfriends Wall Clock
A wall clock offering a range of possibilities. Depending on your desired arrangement, the numbers are available in various versions: Version 1 (numbers 3, 6, 9, 12) is the traditional basic clockface. Version 2 (numbers 5, 9, 12) shows the times of a normal working day. Version 3 (1, 2, 3) as a minimalist alternative. The clock hands are available in black and white, while the 3D-printed numbers are available in the standard colours of the bFRIENDS product range.
bfriends Desert Collection
The giraffe, flamingo and elephant are now joined by three new desert animals: this set features three iconic desert animals – the oryx antelope, the camel and the falcon.
bfriends Love Birds
The Love Birds symbolise love, friendship and affection, and create an atmosphere of positive emotions.

The accessories of the bFRIENDS Christmas Collection were designed with great care and attention to detail. Each piece creates moments of happiness without harming the environment. The collection includes a snowman, a tree with a star, a reindeer and a sleigh with presents. In addition, there are the Christmas Ornaments, which conjure up a cheerful atmosphere in every home. Red Dot 2022: extraordinary design
In 2022, Bene’s bFRIENDS collection was awarded the Red Dot Award for product design for its creatively playful design and innovative ecological manufacturing process. The unique design language is closely intertwined with this sustainable manufacturing process
